Ken gained his medical degree at the University of British Columbia, as well as training in Wellington and Taranaki. He has working in a variety of roles which include Clinical Instructor at UBC Faculty of Medicine for many years. Hospitalist in Vancouver and also had his own family practice in Canada for 20 years prior to returning permanently to live in New Zealand.
Simon trained in Auckland and has worked as a GP for the past 25 years, including owning his own practice in Tauranga. His friendly and knowledgeable approach to work make him popular with patients and staff alike. MBChB FRNZCGP

Sue trained in Auckland and has had many years experience as a GP. She has special interests in nutritional health, diabetes, and geriatric medicine. Sue loves jazz, travel, theatre, new technologies, and eating plant-based foods. MBChB FRNZCGP

Ruth completed her training at the University of Otago Medical School in 2002. She has lived and worked in Tauranga since then, spending 10 years as GP before having time off with her young family. She is a strong advocate of a holistic model of wellbeing – considering diet, exercise, mental and spiritual health in the context of wellness; aiming to not only treat disease, but to keep the population healthy in the first instance. Dr Richie Boon
Born and bred in Auckland, Richie completed his medical training in Auckland, then spend 3 years as a junior doctor in Southland covering a range of specialities. He moved to Dunedin, doing ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) and skin cancer work, particularly on the head and neck. Richie now lives in Tauranga with his wife and young family. From mid-2019 he worked at Katikati Medical Centre while training in General Practice. Richie has now joined us to work at Pyes Pa Road, and will also work at The Lakes when its expanded premises are ready later in the year. He especially enjoys minor surgical procedures, and problems of the ears, nose and throat. MBChB MRNZCGP
Dr Alana Cole
Alana grew up in Tauranga before moving away to study medicine at the University of Auckland, then worked in Auckland and Waikato hospitals for several years. In 2020 she completed her first year of vocational General Practice training, working in Hamilton and Raglan before returning home to Tauranga. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, sports, baking, and the outdoors. MBChB. Available at Pyes Pa Road clinic Tues/Thurs afternoons and all day Wednesday and Fridays
