Murray is one of the practice owners. He grew up in South Otago, trained in Dunedin, and has worked as a Tauranga GP since 1994. Murray enjoys the privilege of meeting new people and helping them live long and healthy lives. MBChB FRNZCGP.

Dr Pooja Patel

Pooja grew up in Bhuj, India and began as a dentist in India, then transitioned to healthcare administration in the USA in 2009. Eventually pursuing medical studies at the University of Missouri, Columbia 2013 becoming a General Practitioner near Seattle, USA, in 2017. As a family physician she enjoys providing care for all ages from acute and chronic disease management, addiction and preventative care. Her medical interests lie in geriatrics, palliative care and women's health. In 2023, seeking adventure, Pooja moved to Tauranga, NZ with her family. She is fluent in Hindi, English, and Gujarati. Beyond medicine, she enjoys reading, music and cherishes family time with her husband Andy and their two young boys- Neil and Vik.

Dr Clare Duffett

Clare graduated in 1999 from the University of Cape Town. She worked in the United Kingdom and Cape Town, before moving to Tauranga in 2020 with her husband and 3 children. Clare enjoys all aspects of family medicine, particularly woman and child health. When not at work she loves to run, hike, cook, play the piano and travel. MBChB MRCGP.

Dr Mairead O'Byrne

Mairead is from Ireland and graduated from University College Dublin in 2020. Prior to this she worked as a Medical Scientist in hospital laboratories, before deciding to return to medical school.

She moved to New Zealand in 2022 and worked in the Greymouth Hospital on the West Coast. She is now excited about working in community medicine as a GP.

Mairead enjoys new adventures in New Zealand including horse-riding, camping and swimming.

Dr Joanne McKnight

Joanne grew up in Newcastle Upon Tyne, in the North East of England where she studied medicine and gained membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners.
She moved to New Zealand with her husband in 2011 where they bought and ran their own Medical Centre in Ohope for almost 10 years. After selling their business Joanne and her family moved to Tauranga in 2023 and are enjoying life in the Western Bay.
As a GP she enjoys developing relationships with patients and working in partnership to develop a holistic model of care. Her special interest is aged care and dementia management. This has been developed over a12 year period of working as the in-house GP for a dementia level rest home.

Dr Richie Boon

Born and bred in Auckland, Richie completed his medical training in Auckland, then spend 3 years as a junior doctor in Southland. He moved to Dunedin, doing ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) and skin cancer work, particularly on the head and neck. Richie now lives in Tauranga with his wife and young family. MBChB MRNZCGP

Dr Belinda Bartle

Belinda is married with two school aged sons. She has worked in General Practice since 2006 and appreciates listening to the stories of patients’ lives and helping them journey towards greater wellbeing. MBChB FRNZCGP.

Dr Brynn Ong

Brynn was born in Wellington, raised in Malaysia, and completed his medical training at Otago Medical School, Dunedin. For the past 6 years he has been working as a GP in and around Tauranga. He has special interest in travel medicine and is an authorised yellow fever vaccinator. Brynn live locally with his wife and 2 children.

Dr Ruth Cameron

Ruth completed her training at Otago Medical School in 2002. She has lived and worked in Tauranga since then, spending 10 years as GP before having time off with her young family. She advocates a holistic model of wellbeing – considering diet, exercise, mental and spiritual health in the context of wellness. Spare time is enjoyed with family, in the garden, and in nature. Dr Andrew Corin

Andrew trained in Auckland and brings plenty of years’ experience in general practice, as well as medical work in Ireland, Kenya and the Philippines. He likes to challenge conventional thinking and medical practice, where it appears outdated. Special interest areas include child health, dive medicine, respiratory medicine, and specialist surgery for snoring conditions. He does clinical research, is an advisor to Asthma & Respiratory Management BOP. He has also done theological study, and is a published author of fiction. Outside of work hours, he can also be found growing avocados on his orchard and trying his hand at most outdoor pursuits .MBChB FRNZCGP

Brookfield on Otumoetai

Dr Ngaire Ellis 

Ngaire grew up in the Bay of Plenty and completed her medical training in Dunedin, followed by 6 years of further training in children’s health, and obstetrics & gynaecology. She has worked in general practice for over 20 years, including work in Tauranga, Christchurch and Melbourne.

Ngaire is enthusiastic about caring, listening, and doing her very best for her patients and their families. In her spare time, she helps with her daughter’s preparations for amateur horse riding competitions, as well as working on her country property. She is a lifelong member of The Salvation Army. MBChB FRNZCGP.

Dr Stephanie Kramer

Stephanie was raised in the Waikato and completed her medical training at Otago Medical School, Dunedin. She has worked in Tauranga as a GP for the past 5 years and enjoys living in The Avenues with her husband and 2 young children.

Stephanie strives to be fully present in each consult and values the development of long-lasting relationships with her patients. Outside of clinical work she enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her young family, running and learning about gardening ecology with her husband.
